Another successful sailing taster session

Last Sunday we had another group of enthusiastic wannabe sailors turning up at the club. After a quick introduction, the group went outside to be shown how to rig a topper. Tony showed the difference between the topper and a mirror.

Several people who wanted a go on the water were given a life jacket and stepped into the wanderer. Helen and Erwin then sailed them across the loch, handing the jib sheet (The rope that controls the sail at the front) into their hands.

Many came away with a great smile on their face, and some have already become members (thank you). Hope to see you on the water in the next few weeks.
