Welcome to the Forfar Sailing and Watersports Club
Nestled in the heart of Forfar Loch Country Park, our club offers a vibrant and welcoming environment for water sports enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re into dinghy sailing, skiff rowing, paddleboarding, kayaking, or simply enjoying the scenic beauty of the loch, there’s something here for everyone.
Our family-friendly club is affiliated with the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and is dedicated to promoting safe and enjoyable water-based activities. With a variety of club boats available for members, a calendar full of events and training sessions, we provide ample opportunities to learn, compete, and have fun on the water.
We continuously strive to be part of the Forfar community, actively collaborating with local organisations such as the Men’s Shed and Strathmore Cricket Club on initiatives like the community skiff project as well as supporting fundraising events.

Tuesday race
We had a nice evening for a gentle race, and the first of the new members' participation. Louise took the plunge and came along to join us. Bill took the role of race officer and set a short course: X, F, C, and A all to starboard. Another successful sailing taster session
Last Sunday we had another group of enthusiastic wannabe sailors turning up at the club. After a quick introduction, the group went outside to be shown how to rig a topper. Tony showed the difference between the topper and a mirror. Several people who wanted a go on the water were given a life jacket and stepped into the wanderer.
